Malaysian band Estranged faces a tricky task when it comes to album number two. After a nu-metal and Incubus-inspired debut album, and a surprise pop rock, Malay smash single, what to do next? Those expecting the band to sell out and go pop rock will be sorely disappointed as the Estranged boys have chosen to refine their Incubus-inspired modern rock, with even their five Malay songs having none of the pop rock stylings of ‘Itu Kamu’. A definite step forward for the band in terms of artistry, with the only concern being the lack of a possible monster smash like ‘Itu Kamu’.
